2016 MR Contrast Safety is organized by docmedED.com Educational Symposia (ESI) ON-DEMAND and will be held during Dec 15, 2015 - Dec 14, 2018.

The target audience for this medical event is to educate diagnostic imaging physicians. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 3.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Description:
This specialized series is designed to provide a comprehensive review of gadolinium based contrast agents (GBCA). An in-depth analysis of chemical GBCA properties, adverse effects and suggestions on how to reduce injection dosage is included. Also addressed are the medicolegal aspects of MR safety protocols. Experts provide valuable information which can be applied to routine practice.

Conference Objectives are :
• Review the past, current and future practice guidelines for GBCAs.
• Compare the chemical properties of modern GBCA’s.
• Discuss patient screening protocols and incorporate appropriate imaging strategies.
• Design protocols to reduce contrast injection dose into clinical practice.
• Review the etiology of nephrogenic systemic fibrosis.
• Discuss the long term effects of multiple GBCA injections on various tissues.
