Course Information:
This course provides participants with the opportunities to work with actual scripts, inductions and therapeutic strategies. Participants will conduct recorded practice sessions of inductions and use of scripts for therapies. Evaluations are made by qualified instructors and participants are progressed to conducting actual sessions with volunteer participants, with full evaluations by instructors. The experiential process in this course is carefully developed, guided and evaluated. Contact hours of education = 35. Course Code: HYPN 400.
This course is particularly designed for those who would like to apply for Certification as a Certified Clinical Hypnotherapist by the American College of Hypnotherapy.
Course Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, you will be able to:
• Conduct an assessment interview with a client demonstrating proficiency in client interview and data gathering.
• Conduct a teaching session with a client including an overview of hypnosis/hypnotherapy and its uses, benefits, and the experiences of a session.
• Perform suggestibility testing on a client.
• Induce trance in a client.
• Utilize several deepening techniques for trance.
• Assess a client for deep of trance.
• Utilize scripts for hypnosis/hypnotherapy.
• Utilize effectively an awakening technique.
• Conduct a post-hypnosis interview with a client, assessing responses, reactions, potential benefits.
• End a session with a client.
• Perform self-assessment by reviewing audio recordings of practice sessions and actual sessions.
• Complete a series of practice sessions via audio recording.
• Complete three comprehensive sessions with actual clients, utilizing recording devices.
• Understand and apply ethical/legal principles in working with clients.
