Pediatric Ultrasound Registry Review is organized by Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute (GUI) Inc. and will be held from Jul 23 - 24, 2018.
The target audience for this medical event is Sonographers, physicians, and other medical professionals preparing to take their pediatric ultrasound certification examination or whomever desires a comprehensive review of pediatric ultrasound examinations. Physician participants may include (but is not limited to) : pediatrics, pediatric emergency medicine, pediatric critical care, primary care and radiology. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 16.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Objectives:
Upon completion of this program, the participant should be able to:
• Identify normal imaging characteristics of the pediatric abdomen and recognize commonly
seen pathology in infants and children.
• Demonstrate proper technique and scan protocols for evaluation of the pediatric patient.
• List the benefits of soft-tissue and MSK ultrasound in the pediatric patient.
• Demonstrate ultrasound protocols for evaluation of the neonatal head, pediatric hip & spine.
• Identify normal testicular ultrasound anatomy and recognize commonly seen abnormalities.
• Identify normal and abnormal characteristics of the thyroid gland.
• Increase confidence to incorporate protocols, techniques & interpretation criteria to improve
diagnostic/treatment accuracy.
• Define areas of weakness that require additional self-study to successfully pass your pediatric
ultrasound board examination.
