NCPD for this event expires on 4-30-2025

Description:
Adjunct and new clinical faculty often come to nursing education as expert practitioners with a strong value for student learning. It is critical that adjunct and new clinical faculty have the information they need to fully partner with academic institutions to meet the program outcomes and produce safe graduate nurses. This webinar focuses on the characteristics and learning needs of adjunct and other new clinical faculty by presenting an evidence-based model of mentorship for new faculty and a variety of strategies that academic institutions and individual mentors can use to enhance integration and effective teaching.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Identify some characteristics and needs of adjuncts and new clinical faculty.
  • Apply a mentorship model to determine best practices for facilitating faculty orientation and integration.
  • Describe several practical strategies to help adjunct and new clinical faculty be effective facilitators of learning for nursing students.
