Mental Health Recovery Oriented Care and Methods of Service Delivery is organized by Vista Continuing Education. This course has been approved for a maximum of 45 CE.

Course Overview:
The purpose of this resource guide is to share an overview of Recovery Oriented System of Care or ROSC and illustrate how these systems are an integral part of the new health care environment. This guide will align the tenets of health care reform to the benefits, framework, and history of ROSC, and the steps for planning and implementing ROSC.

Course Objectives:
• The clinician will be able to differentiate four concepts of person centered planning and its relation to recovery.
• The clinician will be able to classify at least five cultural factors that must be taken into account in any planning and service delivery.
• The clinician will be able to analysis at least three barriers to implementing person centered planning and discuss the reasons why these must be overcome prior to implementing the process.
• The clinician will be able to identify the five steps that make up the person centered process and discuss the essential components of each.
• The clinician will be able to describe at least three practices to facilitate true person centered planning.
