This webinar, featuring Michael Nelson, MD of Cook County Health, will explore the effect of the dual crises of the COVID-19 pandemic and the opioid addiction and overdose crisis on healthcare professionals and their patients. As the COVID-19 pandemic spread across the country and the world, the opioid epidemic worsened. How can physicians and other healthcare professionals treat both the pandemic and the epidemic? What can physicians and health care professionals do to manage the stress of dealing with two major crises at the same time?

Objectives:
