MedFlix: The Use of Deoxycholic Acid Injection to Reduce Submental Neck Fullness Caused by Excess Pre-Platysmal Fat is organized by XMedica and will be held during Jan 26, 2018 - Jul 30, 2018.
The target audience for this medical event is to educate those physicians who inject fillers, especially dermatologists, facial plastic surgeons, oculoplastic surgeons, plastic surgeons and those who assist in their practice. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 0.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
Course Description/Purpose:
The goal of this CME-certified course is to demonstrate the proper patient evaluation, markings and injection techniques for the use of deoxycholic acid injection in the submental region of the neck.
To complete this activity and receive credit, the participant should:
• Review the materials on accreditation information, target audience, learning objectives, and disclosure information
• Complete the entire self-study
• Complete the post-test and evaluation/claim form
Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Describe marking of the superior, inferior, and lateral margins of the area of submental fullness (pre-platysmal fat) to be treated.
• Demonstrate safe and proper injection technique, including appropriate use of local anesthesia, avoidance of the marginal mandibular nerve, the use of grid markings to guide injection spacing, and correct depth of and amount of injection.
