High concentrations of bio-aerosols generated during dental procedures by various dynamic instruments commonly contaminated with bacteria, viruses, and often with blood may be hazardous to healthcare workers and patients. Use of lasers creates a plume containing various gaseous and toxic by-products, which may produce health risks to dental clinicians.
