Epithelial-driven inflammatory airway diseases including CRSwNP, asthma, COPD, and allergic rhinitis are characterized by their heterogeneous nature and complex pathophysiology. Traditionally, these upper and lower airway diseases have been managed independently, often leading to suboptimal patient care.
In this program, experts in pulmonology, allergy and otolaryngology will explore the complexities of epithelial-driven inflammatory airway diseases and how epithelial cytokines play a role in shaping disease severity. The expert panel will discuss the importance of managing upper and lower inflammatory airway diseases together and how the evolving treatment landscape may affect clinical practice. Clinical case scenarios will illustrate strategies for personalizing treatment plans to improve outcomes for patients with comorbid upper and lower airway diseases.
