Managing Rosacea at the Convenient Care Clinic: An Opportunity for the Retail Health Clinician is organized by Pharmacy Times Continuing Education (PTCE) and will be held during Aug 31, 2017 - Aug 31, 2018.
The target audience for this medical event is Pharmacists. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1 CE Credit.
Conference Overview :
Rosacea is a common skin condition, with an approximate incidence of 10% to 20%. It is more common in fair-skinned individuals and is most problematic in the patient’s 30s through 50s. Patients with rosacea experience disease flares when exposed to certain triggers. Treatment is individualized and up to one-third of patients need 3 or more prescription medications. This presentation discusses the different manifestations of rosacea and the role of the convenient care provider and pharmacist in setting treatment expectations and counseling patients with rosacea.
Conference Objectives :
At the completion of this activity, the participant will be able to:
• Differentiate between the subtypes of rosacea, the underlying pathophysiology, and clinical presentation
• Identify the common symptoms of physical discomfort associated with rosacea
• Explain the pharmacologic and nonpharmacologic methods that can be used to treat rosacea
