Program Description
You’ve got some grant funding under your belt and recently established an independent lab, now what? NBF Scholars at different stages of their careers will discuss manuscript publishing, poster presentations, industry collaboration, and the incomparable value of mentorship for new investigators. Each of them will describe their experience utilizing industry tools available for career advancement, including AABB and NBF leadership opportunities. Engage in this open-forum panel discussion to gain key insight into taking your research career to the next level.

Learning Objectives
After participating in this educational activity, participants should be able to:
• Realize potential grant opportunities beyond the NBF or other early-stage funding.
• Identify potential meetings to submit abstracts, and journals to submit manuscripts.
• Describe the AABB Abstract Committee’s perspective on a quality abstract and oral presentation.
• Distinguish industry associations and societies for further education and peer networking.
• Describe the benefits of identifying and working with one or more mentors to assist in early-career development.
