Course Description:
This course is designed to increase the learner's knowledge in business practices applied to a medical or interventional radiology practice including the different areas of business that must be utilized to continually grow the practice as well as understand the leadership structure and skills needed to be successful, individually and as a medical practice. The presentations in the on-demand activity were originally presented at the SIR 2018 Fellows Spring Practicum and include the following:
• Contracts and negotiations
• Keys to practice development
• The new age of medical marketing and branding
• Corporate structure and leadership
Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this on-demand activity, participants should be able to:
• Describe the steps on how to begin or expand a practice.
• Discuss corporate governance and how leadership skills are important in the IR suite and the board room
• Explain the nuances and necessities of good marketing and branding tactics
• Cite the goals of contacts and the goals of negotiating a contract
