Course Description :
This course is designed to provide principles, device selection and tips for success in tumor ablation and provides lung and renal ablation techniques, challenges and recommendations.
The target audience for this medical event is interventional radiologist, interventional oncologist, nurses, techs and other physicians at all levels with special interest in tumor ablation.
Course Objectives :
Upon completion of this on-demand activity, participants should be able to:
• Describe different types of ablation modalities
• Distinguish between which patients should undergo surgical resection, local ablation or liver-directed therapy in the treatment of hepatocellular carcinoma.
• Recognize the barriers and complementary treatment options for primary lunch malignancies and metastatic disease.
• Identify the approach to renal tumor ablation including technical considerations, outcomes and expected complications.
