Iowa Chiropractic Assistant Complete Course: Active and Passive Care is organized by DConline.

Course Description:
This course is two six-hour classes designed to teach assistants of doctors of chiropractic about active and passive care including the use of modalities and exercise. You will be required to document an additional six hours of practical training for each area (twelve hours total practical training) under the supervision of your doctor using the forms provided in the course. The curriculum of this course meets the Iowa Board of Chiropractic Examiners CA training guidelines for the Iowa Chiropractic Assistant Active and Passive Care Courses.

No text is required. You will have twelve hours of learning online and two sets of six hours (12 hours) of documented practical learning under the guidance of your supervising Iowa Doctor of Chiropractic.

Objectives:
• Analyze the basic components of therapeutic active and passive care programs.
• Understand the Iowa Chiropractic Board rules that apply to individuals who provide active and passive care to patients in an Iowa chiropractic office.
• Broaden your understanding of the chiropractic assistant's role in providing instructions to patients regarding active and passive care.
• Develop skills associated with providing active and passive care to patients.
• Discuss the definition, principles, goals, and objectives of active and passive care.
