AAFP:
This Enduring Material activity, Navigating Electronic Media in a Healthcare Setting, has been reviewed and is acceptable for up to 2.00 Prescribed credit(s) by the American Academy of Family Physicians.

AOA:
This program is eligible for two (2) credit hours in Category 2-B of the Continuing Medical Education Program of the American Osteopathic Association. Physicians will need to submit a letter of completion from the University of Tennessee directly to the AOA to receive CME credits.

ANCC:

Course Description:
The purpose of this course is to provide an overview of the range of telemedicine applications as they relate to practitioners today, providing general guidance as to the risks and liabilities of telemedicine. The course also provides suggestions as to the establishment of a patient/provider relationship, informed consent and payment considerations relating to telemedicine. The course also identifies relevant state laws and regulations as they apply to telemedicine.

Learning Objectives:
• Identify what telemedicine is and what telemedicine is not.
• Develop telemedicine protocols that are compliant with current state laws and regulations.
• Recognize the risks associated with the use and practice of telemedicine.
