Course Description:
Introduction to Pediatric Ultrasound Online Course is comprised of twelve (12) modules and is designed to provide a comprehensive overview of pediatric ultrasound examination techniques. Imaging fundamentals, scan techniques for abdominal, neurosonography, neonatal spine, pediatric hip, and trauma applications are also included. Enrollment is valid for 12 months (365 days) and begins the moment the participant is enrolled. Extend your online course access another 3 months with the addition of an onsite hands-on workshop or registration for a regularly scheduled GCUS scan workshop.

Course Objectives:
• Increase the participant's knowledge to better perform and/or interpret pediatric ultrasound examinations.
• State the basic fundamentals of ultrasound physics and demonstrate appropriate optimization of system controls.
• Identify normal and abnormal imaging characteristics of the pediatric urinary tract and GI tract.
• Demonstrate protocols for evaluation of the trauma patient.
• List the benefits of soft-tissue and MSK ultrasound in the pediatric patient.
• Demonstrate ultrasound protocols for evaluation of the neonatal head, pediatric hip, and spine.
• Identify normal and abnormal characteristics of the neonatal head, pediatric hip, and spine.
• Outline testicular ultrasound protocols and recognize commonly seen abnormalities.
• Increase confidence to incorporate protocols, techniques, and interpretation criteria to improve diagnostic and treatment accuracy.
