Description:
Elevate your expertise in nutrients, supplements, and therapeutic diets with our advanced training program tailored for medical professionals. This advanced training program equips you with the knowledge and skills to identify patients at risk of drug and nutrient interactions and navigate the complexities of botanicals and nutraceuticals, so you can begin to provide optimal patient care through personalized nutrition interventions.
This is the third course in the Integrating Nutrition into Practice series. Completion of all twelve courses meets the eligibility requirements to sit for the Certified Personalized Nutrition Practitioner examination.

Participants will:
• Describe the difference between sufficient nutrient intake and optimal nutrition status
• List factors that impact nutrient status and apply clinical interventions to optimize nutrient status
• Identify patients/clients who may benefit from common botanicals and provide clinical advice regarding the use of botantically generally
• Distinguish between drug-induced nutrition depletions, drug-nutrient interactions, and nutrient-nutrient interactions
• Recommend strategies to mitigate undesired effects of nutritional deficiences caused by drug-nutrient or nutrient-nutrient interactions
