The use of hypnotics has increased over the past 20 years however evidence-based medicine shows that their use leads to poor outcomes. By highlighting these dangers and discussing non-pharmacologic approaches, this activity aims to broaden the management of insomnia and assist the pharmacist in managing and recommending therapy.
