OVERVIEW

Innovating, Optimizing, and Advancing Antithrombotic Treatment in Atrial Fibrillation is organized by Canadian Cardiovascular Society nad would be held during Dec 19, 2016 - Dec 19, 2017. This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 1.5 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Conference Objectives are :
• Integrate recent data from randomized trials and national and international databases and registries on the real-world use, effectiveness and safety of oral anticoagulants in patients with AF.
• Consider additional treatment scenarios such as AF with concomitant coronary artery disease and recognize the role of various antithrombotic agents for stroke prevention in such settings.
• Individualize antithrombotic therapy and practice effective DOAC usage in patients with special considerations, whilst balancing risk of bleeding with the benefit of stroke prevention.
