Today on MedNet21, we're going to discuss Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

An overview of inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) will be presented. The role of the primary care provider (PCP) will be discussed.

Objective(s):
As a result of this educational activity, webcast participants will be able to: DISCUSS the role of the primary care provider (PCP) in IBD; and DEVELOP a health maintenance plan for the patient with IBD. You’ll also learn about the following:
• Etiology of inflammatory bowel disease
• New developments in treatment of inflammatory bowel disease
• Diet and inflammatory bowel disease
• Pregnancy and inflammatory bowel disease
• Management of small bowel obstruction and acute exacerbations of pain
• Duration of biologic therapy
