Inevitable Menopause is organized by Nurse.com - OnCourse Learning Corporation and will be held from May 19, 2017 - Apr 30, 2020. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.0 Contact Hours.
Course Description :
Menopause refers to the time of life when menstruation stops after ovarian activity loss. The ovaries stop making the female hormones, mostly estrogen. For most women, menopause occurs gradually. Perimenopause encompasses the period that may last for years before the cessation of menstruation. This is also known as the "menopausal transition." During this time, the amount of circulating hormones fluctuates, causing a variety of menstrual and other physiological changes. Women are in menopause when they have had a full year without menstrual bleeding. This course provides an overview of menopause, including the risks and benefits of pharmacological and nontraditional therapies to manage symptoms.
