Target Audience:
This accredited activity has been designed for pharmacists.

Goal:
Differentiate key aspects of heart failure presentation and treatment between men and women to enable pharmacists to provide individualized treatment recommendations and supportive care.

Learning Objectives:
Upon completion of this activity, the participant should be able to:
• Employ guideline-directed medical therapy consistent with the 2017 ACC/AHA/HFSA heart failure guidelines and other evidence to reduce the burden of heart failure.
• Compare and contrast heart failure characteristics and management between men and women.
• Apply heart failure guidelines toward medical therapy and supportive care in women with heart failure.
