Description:
This course takes a broad-spectrum view of the most current concepts in the pathophysiology, diagnosis and management of shoulder fractures. The faculty present the latest information on the diagnosis and treatment of these traumatic injuries, including latest techniques in fracture ORIF procedures and shoulder arthroplasty. The course also include didactic lectures and interactive case-based discussions in order to give the attendees best insight into the most up-to-date management of these common and often complex injuries.

Learning Objectives:
Hospital for Special Surgery Continuing Education activities are intended to improve the quality of patient care and safety. At the conclusion of this course, participant will be able to:

  • Describe current evidence-based concepts in the diagnosis and treatment of complex shoulder surgical issues. They will implement strategies to apply this in the evaluation of their patients.
  • Discuss specific shoulder problems in a comprehensive manner.
