How to Perform an Ankle Brachial Index is organized by Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute (GUI) Inc and will be held during May 16, 2017 - May 16, 2020.
The target audience for this medical event is Physicians, nurse practitioners, PAs, sonographers, or other medical professionals performing ankle brachial indices. Physician participants may include (but are not limited to): emergency medicine, vascular surgeons, critical care, hospitalists, internal medicine, and primary care physicians. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.
At the completion, the sonographer will be familiar with anatomy and physiology of the artery for performing and evaluating an ankle brachial index. Additionally, indications and exam technique will be reviewed.
Conference Objectives are :
• Recognize normal arterial anatomy and sonographic signatures.
• Cite indications for performing ankle brachial index examinations.
• Demonstrate the sonographic technique and protocol for obtaining an ankle brachial index.
• Recognize abnormal arterial findings and sonographic signatures.
