Program Overview:
This course features 5 sessions designed to update health-related professionals about recent advances, up-to-date practices, and guidelines for inpatient care. The emphasis is on the practical management of problems commonly encountered in hospital medicine.

Presented by Continuing Education Company (CEC) for the past 26 years, our Primary Care CME Conference Series is designed to update primary care clinicians in rapidly changing therapeutic areas. This CME activity, Hospital Medicine: On Demand Volume 1.1, is comprised of recorded video lectures from the inaugural Nation Hospitalist Conferences that took place in 2017.

This course is designed to provide physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and other health-related professionals with information and skills to improve the care of their hospitalized patients. The focus of the CME activity is on practical management of problems commonly encountered in hospital medicine. An emphasis will be placed on recent advances, up-to-date practices, and guidelines for inpatient care.

Topics include: Metabolic Issues in the ICU, Sepsis, Atrial Fibrillation, Acute Coronary Syndrome, and more.

Learning Objectives:
As a result of this educational activity, participants should be better able to:
• Provide an accurate diagnostic assessment for a broad range of disorders commonly seen in the inpatient setting.
• Utilize current guidelines in the management of commonly encountered therapeutic issues presented by the hospitalized patient.
• Formulate comprehensive evidence-based interventions and treatment strategies that will lead to the reduction of modifiable risk factors and improved outcomes.
