Fundamentals: Activity 7 Management of Medications for Children with Rheumatic Disease is organized by American College of Rheumatology (ACR) and will be held from Dec 11, 2017 - Dec 10, 2020.

Target Audience
The target audience is physicians, fellows-in-training, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, nurses, office staff, practice managers, physical therapists, occupational therapists, and medical and health professional students involved in the care of patients with rheumatic disease and anyone interested in rheumatology that may work in an academic or practice setting. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 2.0 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

Course Description :
Fundamentals of Rheumatology offers ten individual activities that can increase knowledge, competence and performance in recognizing the signs and symptoms of common rheumatic diseases in patients.The learner will be able to apply this knowledge and competence to participate in the treatment and care of patients with these chronic conditions and many other rheumatic diseases.

• Post assessment and activity evaluation
• AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™ with a passing score of 70% or higher

Course Objectives :
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Describe the action, dosage and side/toxic effects of medications prescribed for treatment of rheumatic diseases in children
• Describe clinical indications, dosage, action, and monitoring required for children receiving treatment with a biologic or biosimilar drug
• Teach the child and parent methods to remember and adhere to treatments and medications
