The IAS–USA offers this state-of-the-art activity on the evolving challenges of managing HIV disease as part of a nationwide continuing medical education (CME) effort for physicians. This webinar will describe what is known about the cellular and anatomical distribution of the HIV reservoir within HIV-infected persons.
It will then describe and contrast a number of approaches that are being taken to eliminate this reservoir with particular attention to the successes and failures of these approaches. Finally, it will look to the future and cover some upcoming developments in the field of HIV cure.
