Overview:
This course provides evidence-based data supporting the standardization of care throughout Baptist Health for total hip and total knee arthroplasty. Included in this course are treatment algorithms, Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols and resources.

Learning Objectives:
• Explain how evidence-based Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) principles apply to total hip/total knee arthroplasty patients.  
• Utilize Baptist Health’s ERAS total hip/total knee arthroplasty protocol – an evidence-based and multidisciplinary perioperative pathway – to achieve early recovery, reduce length of stay and reduce opioid use.
