OVERVIEW

The Guthy-Jackson Charitable Foundation (GJCF) NMOSD Grand Rounds program aims to inform practicing neurology specialists as well as the broader spectrum of neurologists and allied healthcare providers regarding latest information in evidence-based science and medicine of NMOSD. This program features 12 essential topics addressed by experts in the field at a monthly interval. Organized and curated by GJCF advisors, this series of educational webinars enables continuing medical education (CME) credit.

Session entitled “Emerging Tolerization Technologies & Clinical Trials” is designed to update knowledge on the fundamental aspects of immune tolerance and loss of immune tolerance in cases of NMOSD or related autoimmune disease. The discussion will feature comparative technologies being developed to restore immune tolerance and the clinical trial landscape for evaluation of these emerging technologies in NMOSD.

Educational Objectives:
After completing this activity, learners will be able to:
1. Describe fundamental aspects of immune tolerance and its mechanisms.
2. Differentiate comparative technologies emerging for NMOSD tolerization.
3. Navigate the current clinical trial landscape for NMOSD tolerization.
