This course provides healthcare professionals with an understanding of how to manage chemical weapons and radiation attacks.
Goals and Learning Outcomes:
This course reviews the basics of what to do in the event of a chemical weapon attack or radiation event. Healthcare professionals in the emergency and acute care setting will learn how to recognize the signs and symptoms of injury from a chemical or radiation attack, how to decontaminate affected patients, and how to manage patients with these types of injuries. The course also covers how healthcare workers can be prepared for a chemical weapon attack or radiation incident.
