OVERVIEW

Documenting Deficiencies in Clinical: Attitude, Behavior, Competency is organized by NurseTim, Inc.

NCPD for this event expires on 1-31-2025. The expiration date for awarding contact hours is 30 days after participating in the webinar.

Description:
Faculty are often perplexed by how to best document poor performance. They typically are looking to find balance in documentation so that concerns are respectfully, but accurately, portrayed to the student. In addition, documentation needs to be clear enough to speak for itself in any subsequent challenges. The key to good documentation begins with establishing clear expectations for behavior and the ability to link performance concerns back to those expectations.

Learning Outcomes:

  • Examine the rationale for providing timely, behavior-based feedback to all students in terms of assisting learners and supporting a quality nursing program.
  • Identify the characteristics of effective clinical performance feedback and outcomes associated with the quality of clinical feedback provided.
  • Consider a variety of strategies that support effective documentation and enhance growth in performance.
