Description:
Using the Virginia All-Payer Claims Database (APCD), he examined care transition patterns after acute hospitalization and disparities associated with gender, race/ethnicity, insurance status, and location of residence. In addition, he examined the association between care transitions and the risk of 30- and 90-day hospital readmission. The study findings have implications for the delivery of equitable clinical services to ensure continuity of care for individuals with TBI.
