Description:
This series focuses on Diagnostic stewardship; a patient centered approach to microbiologic laboratory testing that leverages evidence-based medicine and electronic clinical support to achieve the right test for the right patient at the right time.

Learning Objectives:

  • Describe the framework and importance of DS on patient care and HAI’s
  • Explain the impact of ASP on DSP and vice versa
  • Discuss how institutions/hospitals can approach DSP
  • Discuss how a healthcare team can coordinate efforts to implement a DSP

This activity is acceptable for a maximum of 1.00 live CPE contact hours (1.00 CEUs) in states that recognize ACPE providers. 

Upon completion of this ACPE-approved activity, participants will receive 1.00 credits on their NABP e-Profile section of the CPE Monitor. It is the participant's responsibility to upload the correct NABP number and date of birth when submitting your evaluation.
