OVERVIEW

Diagnosis, Assessment, Prognosis and Treatment of Mental Disorders is organized by Vista Continuing Education. This course has been approved for a maximum of 30CE.

Course Overview:
For those with severe and persistent mental illness, integrated treatment emphasized the correspondence between the treatment models for mental illness and the need for medication. This course looks at medication and possible side effect. The clinician will identify patient's that need to be referred for medication evaluations. The course also looks at diagnosic code as set forth by ICD10.

Course Objectives:
• The clinician will be able to demonstrate diagnosis, prognosis and treatment of mental disorders,
• The clinician will be able to classify severe mental illness.
• The clinician will be able to show evidence based practices.
• The clinician will be able to classify ICD 10.
• The clinician will be able to identify the most commonly used Psychological Tests and their availability.
• The clinician will be able to differentiate commonly used medications to treat mental disorders.
