Their third session of The Patient and the Practitioner in the Age of Technology: Promoting Healing Relationships virtual series will explore principles of human-centered design and ideas for empowering patients to use health information technology. They shall also consider some of the unintended consequences of the rapid deployment of health information technology. Presentation formats will include a TED-style talk, group discussions among thought leaders, and abstract presentations, followed by a live audience question and answer sessions with the presenters. 

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this conference series, participants should be able to:
• Identify principles of human-centered design and ideas for empowering patients to use health information technology
• Describe some of the unintended consequences of the rapid deployment of health information technology
