Overview :
In this recorded webinar you will learn how to differentiate between palliative care and hospice care, as well as the importance of palliative care services for people living with serious illness. The discussion will cover the role of healthcare professionals as part of the interprofessional palliative care team in the care of patients living with serious illness and barriers they are facing in practice, such as stigma surrounding end-of-life care. Learn how to address these barriers and increase the proportion of individuals who receive appropriate palliative care treatment.

Learning Objectives:
After completing this course, the learner should be better able to:
Differentiate between palliative care and hospice care.
• Describe the role of interprofessional palliative care team in the bio-psycho-social-spiritual care of persons living with serious illness and their family caregivers.
• Discuss the benefits of early integration of palliative care for persons living with serious illness and their family caregivers.
