Description:
This annotative course will give physicians and APCs a comprehensive look into opioid-seeking behavior, including an overview of functional problems, the nature of addiction, and how it appears in people ranging from mildly addicted to severely addicted. This enlightening course will also cover how to deal with drug-seeking behavior.

Learning Objectives:
After participating in this seminar, participants will be able to:
• Recognize the presence of drug-seeking behavior
• Establish and maintain appropriate boundaries with patients regarding opioid prescribing
• Establish and maintain a long-term relationship with the patient if at all possible
• Assist the patient in receiving addiction therapy, if specified
