Dive deep into the topic of dental anatomy and solidify your knowledge of the anatomy of the head, neck and oral cavity. This course will help you understand the basic physiologic systems, such as the circulatory, lymphatic, nervous, muscular and skeletal systems, and go into detail about how they interact in the head and neck regions. You’ll learn to identify structures of the head and neck, as well as various anatomical landmarks of the mandible, maxilla and oral cavity.

This course covers the use of the Universal and Palmer tooth-numbering systems and will allow you to recognize and define normal occlusion and the relationships between maxilla and mandible during various functional movements. You’ll also learn how to recognize instances of oral pathology. Understanding these topics is an important foundation for performing a variety of dental procedures, and will help you prepare for the DANB Anatomy, Morphology and Physiology (AMP) exam

Objectives:
