CT Dose Reduction: Innovative Solutions and Dual Energy is organized by Medical Technology Management Institute (MTMI) and will be held on Nov 02, 2019.
Audience:
• CT Technologists wanting to expand their knowledge in Computed Tomography
• Radiologic Technologists
• Medical Imaging Specialists
• Educators
• Vendor Personnel
Credits:
This program provides 8 hours of Category A continuing education credit for radiologic technologists approved by ASRT and recognized by the ARRT and various licensure states. Category A credit is also recognized by CAMRT’s Continuing Education Credit Approval Program for CE credit in Canada. You must attend the entire program to receive your certificate of completion.
Description:
Today’s CT Technologists are challenged with the rapidly changing environment in Computed Tomography imaging and the increased awareness of dose considerations. It is imperative, that CT technologists continue to enhance their knowledge and skills to stay a step ahead in today’s medical imaging environment. This interactive seminar is designed to energize CT technologist and provide insight into innovative developments in CT equipment hardware and software. Topics include organ specific dose reduction, mA modulation, iterative reconstruction, and x-ray production from dual sources. Clinical implementation will be reviewed through case presentations. Kerry is a knowledgeable and engaging presenter who will challenge you as a technologist to go that extra step in providing quality patient care.
Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this webinar, attendees should be able to:
• List factors affecting patient dose in CT
• Explain the use of new software technologies in CT with regard to dose and image quality
• Review improvements in CT hardware and their effect on dose and image quality
• Understand patient preparation protocols, scanning protocols, image quality requirements and dose considerations for common DECT/DSCT examinations.
• Describe the difference in x-ray production based on various energy sources.
