Coracobrachialis Course is organized by Brookbush Institute.
Course Description:
Exercises and techniques for the coracobrachialis may contribute to the development of upper body (arm) strength. The coracobrachialis muscle is located on the anterior arm, crosses the shoulder joint, and plays a role in motion of the shoulder joint. The coracobrachialis can also play a role in injury, including shoulder pain, arm strain, shoulder joint impingement, and tendinitis. To get the most out of your strength training for upper body muscles, and to aid in the prevention of coracobrachialis injuries, you will need more than just an arm stretch. Sports medicine professionals should have knowledge of the functional anatomy of the coracobrachialis muscle, its role in posture (behavior in postural dysfunction and movement impairment), role in functional movement, and a repertoire of coracobrachialis exercises and techniques.
Behavioral Objectives
• Students will be prepared to pass a final exam by choosing from a list of potential answers to behavior-objective matched multiple-choice questions.
• Explain the integrated relationship between the coracobrachialis and 5 other structures
• Evaluate the behavior of this muscle at it relates to postural dysfunction
• The participant will be able to recall at least 5 anatomical features related to the coracobrachialis
• List at least 2 techniques that may be used to address dysfunction of the coracobrachialis
