Course Description:
Faculty will outline and present specific controversial practices in dialysis management. Considerations in continuing the application of these clinical practices to minimize risks to patients and enhance the benefits will be reviewed as well as an overview of facility protocols and procedures to take into consideration.

Learning Objectives:
Discuss 3 examples of controversial clinical practices and procedures in dialysis
Explain the benefits and potential consequences as a result of implementing these practices in dialysis
Describe strategies or an alternative practice that will promote safety and improved patient outcomes
