Description:
This webinar will discuss and describe the key concepts around the chemical and physical properties of commonly used intravenous and oral contrast medias typically used within medical imaging. Primarily focusing on the contrasts specifically used in conjunction with both Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) and Computed Tomography (CT). There will also be discussion of the cardiac cycle, venous location/identification, catheter insertion techniques, NSF and allergies/contraindications to both IV and oral contrasts. Included will also be an overview of some general pathologies/diseases and cross-sectional anatomy image evaluation.

Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this webinar, participant will be able to:
• define terms commonly associated with both MRI and CT contrast agents and safety.
• describe current practices, according to the ACR, regarding contrast screening(s) and safety.
• discuss common applications for Intravenous contrasts in both MRI and CT exams.
• Discuss common applications for various options in oral contrast agents.
