This webinar explores the evolution of concept mapping and its theoretical foundation. Research findings are presented to support concept mapping as an effective active learning strategy for addressing the needs of multimodal learners and preparing them for entry-level nursing practice. The rapid increase in medical knowledge and development of the Next Generation NCLEX® exam provide the backdrop for a discussion on the relevance of concept mapping today. Opportunities for implementing concept mapping into nursing curricula and potential challenges are discussed.
