Course Description:
This course is geared to advanced biliary interventions including biliary stricture management, the role of IR in biliary complications following liver transplantation, metal stents for malignant strictures, and cholangioscopy for removal of common duct and intrahepatic stones.
This program is designed to meet the educational needs of interventional radiologist, nurses, techs and other physicians at all levels with special interest in advanced biliary interventions
Learning Objectives:
• Upon completion of this Webinar, participants should be able to:
• Describe the anatomy of the biliary tree, the causes for benign and malignant strictures and their percutaneous treatments.
• Recognize the importance of thorough evaluation of strictures and the significance of safe access to the biliary tree.
• Distinguish the cases of benign strictures requiring dilatation from those that don't require dilation.
