Course Description :
This course provides an overview of common complications associated with hematopoietic stem cell transplantations as seen in a critical care setting and improvement in treatment-related mortality.
Learning Objectives:
• Identify the major causes of morbidity and mortality of patients undergoing hematopoietic stem cell transplantation.
• Describe the unique pulmonary complications patients encounter after stem cell transplantation requiring intensive care.
• Implement best practices for management of infection and graft-versus-host disease associated with stem cell transplant.
