Description:
Survivors of traumatic brain injury often have limited access to community-based activities that they find meaningful.We will explore barriers that may contribute to this limitation, and possible ways to overcome them, to optimize a TBI survivor’s ability to thrive as a participant in society.

Session Objectives:

• Identify readiness criteria for a TBI survivor to participate in a community-based activity
• Utilize assessment/planning tools to support successful engagement in a community-based activity
• Evaluate the impact of a community-based activity on a TBI survivor’s overall quality of life
