OVERVIEW

Alcohol Use Disorder (AUD) often presents alongside co-occurring psychiatric disorders, complicating diagnosis and treatment outcomes. This 1-hour CME/CE course equips healthcare professionals with the tools to recognize and treat psychiatric comorbidities during AUD management. Participants will learn to assess predisposing, precipitating, worsening, and maintaining factors contributing to AUD using a comprehensive clinical lens.

By applying the Bio-Psycho-Social model, the course promotes a holistic, evidence-based approach to managing alcohol-related conditions while addressing underlying psychiatric concerns. Through early identification and integrative care, providers will be better equipped to support long-term recovery and improve patient outcomes.
