Co-Occurring Disorders and Addiction is organized by Vista Continuing Education. This Course has been approved for a maximum of 15 CE.

Course Overview:
For those with severe and persistent mental illness, integrated treatment emphasized the correspondence between the treatment models for mental illness and addiction in a residential setting. The model stressed a parallel view of recovery, concomitant treatment of mental illness and substance abuse, application of treatment stages, and the use of strategies from both the mental health and substance abuse treatment fields.
