Osteoporosis-related fractures are a major cause of morbidity and mortality, leading to a cost of over $17 billion per year in the United States alone. While screening, prevention, and treatment have been cornerstones of management for years, recent updates and new research are fine-tuning the approach to osteoporosis. Dr. Carolyn Crandall provides an overview of the current state of osteoporosis.
