Recent studies have uncovered the staggering prevalence of asthma in patients suffering from upper airway disorders. The inflammation in upper airways can intensify inflammatory responses in the lower airways, causing a vicious cycle of symptoms and exacerbations.

This educational program will bring together expert pulmonologists and allergists to discuss the complex and interconnected relationship between severe asthma and upper airway disease, including inflammatory pathways and biomarkers in chronic respiratory disease, current and emerging therapies for managing patients with severe asthma and comorbid upper airway disease. Participants can choose from four case scenarios that illustrate strategies for personalizing treatment plans for complex patients.
